Overview
The Sandals Boscobel Fish Sanctuary (SFCA) spans approximately 1 square kilometer and features a thriving marine ecosystem of vibrant coral reefs and lush seagrass beds. The sanctuary includes a sheltered harbor, protected by a barrier reef system, and is bordered by the coastal communities of Boscobel, Stewart Town, and Rio Nuevo in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica. The close proximity of these communities has made them key stakeholders in the sanctuary’s success, contributing to its stewardship through local engagement and sustainable marine practices.
