Galleon St. Elizabeth Fish Sanctuary

Overview

The Galleon St. Elizabeth Fish Sanctuary (SFCA) is located along the southwestern coast of Jamaica, between Black River and Crawford in the parish of St. Elizabeth. Spanning 4.5 kilometers in length and covering approximately 1,150 acres, the sanctuary is bordered by healthy mangrove forests on land. Its coastal waters feature predominantly shallow areas with vibrant seagrass beds, interspersed with small coral reefs and a stunning seafloor of white sand — creating a rich and diverse marine environment.
